Terms of Service
The terms that apply when you use joinFIFO and buy our guides.
These terms apply to your use of joinfifo.com (the “Site”) and to any guide, tool, or other product you buy from joinFIFO (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Site or buying a product, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
01What we provide
joinFIFO publishes digital guides and online tools about working in fly-in fly-out (FIFO) and resource-sector roles in Australia, including relocation, visas, getting hired, and money. Some content is free; some is available only after purchase (“Paid Content”).
02General information only
Everything on the Site is general information and opinion. It is not tailored to your situation. In particular:
- Not migration advice. We are not registered migration agents and do not give immigration assistance. Visa rules change often. Check current requirements with the Department of Home Affairs (immi.homeaffairs.gov.au) or a registered migration agent before you act.
- Not financial, tax, or legal advice. We do not hold an Australian financial services licence. Content about money, saving, investing, super, or tax is general information only. It does not take your objectives, finances, or needs into account. Get advice from a licensed professional before making financial decisions.
- No guarantee of work or income. We do not place people in jobs, are not a recruitment agency, and make no promise that you will be hired, earn any amount, or reach any result. Outcomes depend on your skills, experience, location, employers, and the job market.
- Information can go out of date. Rules, pay rates, tickets, medical standards, and employer requirements change. Confirm important details with the official source or employer.
You are responsible for your own decisions and for checking that you meet any legal, visa, licensing, and medical requirements.
03Your account
You may need an account to access Paid Content. Give accurate details and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed it.
You must be at least 16 years old to buy from us.
04Purchases and pricing
Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and shown at checkout. Unless we say otherwise, prices include GST where GST applies. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not see or store your full card details.
Each purchase is a one-off payment for access to the product. There is no subscription and we will not charge you again unless you buy something else. We may change prices at any time, but a change will not affect a purchase you have already made.
We may withdraw or update a product, and where the product is a bundle we may add or replace content. Access to a purchased guide continues for as long as we offer that guide, and in any case for at least 12 months from purchase.
05Refunds
Because our products are digital and available to you immediately, we do not offer refunds for change of mind once you have been given access.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected. Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a remedy, including a refund where appropriate, if a product has a major problem — for example, it is not delivered, does not work as described, or is not of acceptable quality.
If something is wrong, contact us at the email below with your purchase email and a description of the problem. We will review it promptly and fairly. If you are charged twice or we have made an error, we will correct it.
06Licence and acceptable use
When you buy Paid Content, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read and use it for your own purposes. All content, text, design, code, and data on the Site belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright.
You must not:
- Share your login, or copy, resell, republish, or distribute Paid Content, in whole or in part.
- Scrape or bulk-download the Site, or use it to train an AI or machine-learning model.
- Attempt to bypass access controls or interfere with the Site’s operation or security.
- Use the Site for anything unlawful or misleading.
We may suspend or end access without refund if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms.
07Third-party sites and data
The Site links to and uses information from third parties, including job boards, government bodies, training providers, and public mining data. We do not control or endorse them and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Any mention of a company, ticket provider, or service is not a recommendation unless we say so. If we receive a commission or benefit from a link, we will aim to say so.
08Availability
We try to keep the Site available and accurate but do not promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it.
09Limits on our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded.
Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows: (a) we provide the Site and content “as is” and give no other warranties; (b) we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of income, loss of opportunity, or loss of profit arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site; and (c) our total liability to you for any claim relating to a product is limited to the amount you paid for that product. Where the law allows us to limit our liability for a breach of a non-excludable guarantee, we limit it, at our option, to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
10Privacy
How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
11Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date shows the current version. If you keep using the Site after a change, you accept the updated terms. Changes do not alter the terms of purchases you have already made.
12Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [Western Australia], Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place and the Commonwealth of Australia.
